| Cresthaven Kennels began in 1987 with a visit to Terry Hower's kennel to purchase a pet quality companion for our 9 year old female Shepherd. We purchased a male that day and were so impressed with his kennel and all the pictures of champions that we eventually ended up being bitten by the show bug, having no idea where it would all go or what was involved. Heidi, pictured here, was the first dog we ever showed - though she never finished because I gave up on her at too young of an age (now I know they don't finish by the time they turn 2). She gave me my first Champion, her son "Bear" who was my favorite of all dogs - My idea of the perfect dog! We have a very limited breeding program, but we try to produce dogs with type, style and substance. Our dogs have won both specialty and All-Breed rings with several of them having received Group placings. ~ Terri Stout ~ |
